I'm the Digital Humanities Coordinator in the Research IT group at UC Berkeley, with a focus on research computing and research data management. Before that, I spent ten years at the University of Chicago. My background is in Slavic linguistics and library and information science, but my major interest is in making research and scholarly communication work better. To help facilitate that in the humanities, I've written a book, Drupal for Humanists, published by Texas A&M Press as the first in the Coding for Humanists series, which I co-edit..
I've taken at least one photo of something beautiful every day since August 29, 2007 and have over 75,000 Creative Commons licensed photos posted on Flickr.
